PARALLAX – UNIT LONDON – Opens next week.

Its been a busy week here in the studio, and with the opening of PARALLAX less than a week away I’m somehow ahead of schedule. So with all of the work now stretched, varnished and away to the framers there’s no better time to share some images from the last few days –

ALL GOOD THINGS

VNA_ALL-GOOD-THINGS_1200x1200_FINAL_INSTA

ALL GOOD THINGS must come to an end and, after 10 amazing years, Very Nearly Almost Magazine is shutting up shop. Finishing on a high that has seen the front cover graced by some of the brightest stars of the contemporary art world, the team behind VNA have made the difficult decision to draw this chapter to a close with an exhibition and forthcoming book.
In celebration of the incredible people that have made the magazine what it is, VNA are presenting their 10th Anniversary group show with some of the team’s favourite featured artists. 50+ artists make up this hand-picked selection of the world’s top talent, showing in East London’s StolenSpace Gallery.

The exhibition is all up for grabs, and this painting of mine (Flux Portrait 3, oil on canvas, 70x70cm) will be one of those available.

New Work

This past couple of months I’ve been working on the new series of paintings – it’s far from finished, but here’s a little look at how some of them are shaping up –

Fresh Paint

This is the first week of the year that the sun’s risen above the rooftops outside of the studio window and the sky’s been clear, so as the place is bathed in new light I thought I’d best come out of hibernation and share some shots of the latest work. Here you go –

Hello 2017!

Its my first day in the studio of 2017, and the final coat of varnish has just been applied to the latest paintings, so this is how the work’s looking with a fresh year ahead.

This one (Analysis, oil on canvas, 160 x 120cm) will be heading over to Unit London once its dry & framed.

Secondly, my websites been updated with all of the recent works, so you can view everything new under one roof here.

It appears that 2016 has left some unfinished paintings to keep me on my toes, so I’ll be bringing some big ideas to completion, as well as starting a new body of work for this years first Solo Show. Details to be announced…
