This is the first week of the year that the sun’s risen above the rooftops outside of the studio window and the sky’s been clear, so as the place is bathed in new light I thought I’d best come out of hibernation and share some shots of the latest work. Here you go –
Its my first day in the studio of 2017, and the final coat of varnish has just been applied to the latest paintings, so this is how the work’s looking with a fresh year ahead.
This one (Analysis, oil on canvas, 160 x 120cm) will be heading over to Unit London once its dry & framed.
Secondly, my websites been updated with all of the recent works, so you can view everything new under one roof here.
It appears that 2016 has left some unfinished paintings to keep me on my toes, so I’ll be bringing some big ideas to completion, as well as starting a new body of work for this years first Solo Show. Details to be announced…

I’ve been invited to exhibit at SCOPE Miami Beach with Lawrence Alkin Gallery in November/December, so this is the perfect opportunity to incorporate some new techniques into the work which I’ve been getting to grips with here in the studio. These new works are based upon a Rorschach-like technique, a foundation from which the figures and narratives later emerge. Heres a look at how it’s shaping up.
